Introducing
Sunray Community Centre CIC

Sunray Community Centre CIC was formed in 2023 by Victoria Steward Todd and currently has three directors.  The purpose of the CIC is to facilitate the use of the Sunray Community Centre and encourage the community to take ownership of the space for community use.

Victoria Steward Todd, Director

Victoria Steward Todd has over 20 years’ experience in the voluntary sector and has been the Director of The Kensington and Chelsea Foundation for the past four years.  The KCF is a charity which raises funds for and makes grants to community projects such as community centres.  Victoria manages an income and expenditure budget of £2 million annually for the Foundation and oversees due diligence on local charity projects seeking funding.  This experience means she has a strong understanding of good governance, fundraising from foundations and corporates, managing grants and reporting on expenditure.  Victoria has lived on the Sunray Estate for 12 years with her husband and two daughters.

Ajantha Pratheepan, Director

Ajantha Pratheepan was born and raised on the Sunray Estate and now lives here with her husband and three children.  Ajantha is passionate about developing community citizenship and leadership amongst our youth and has led the Sunray Stars, a group of young people involved in organising events for the wider community.  She is a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at a local school and will advise SCC CIC on issues such as safeguarding and youth participation.  Ajantha is a member of the Sunray Estate’s significant Tamil population and comes from a cultural tradition of community volunteering and service.

Roger Smith, Director

Roger Smith has lived on the Sunray Estate for over 50 years and has been involved in the residents association on and off since the 1970s.
